Recovery is a word used constantly and understood in real depth less often, even by people who work in the sector every day. SRC’s Recovery College exists to close that gap, and we’re running a free information session for anyone who wants to understand it properly.
Who it’s for. Anyone supporting individuals who want to develop their recovery knowledge and learning: peer workers, staff, volunteers, or people in recovery communities who want a clearer grounding in the subject themselves.
What the session covers. What recovery actually is, how the field and the thinking behind it has developed, and the stages people typically move through on their own recovery journey. It’s built as a genuine introduction, not an assumption that everyone already knows the theory.
The details. The session runs online, free of charge, for 45 minutes. Places are limited, so booking ahead is worth doing rather than leaving it to the day.
