From 2024 to 2025, Scottish Recovery Consortium (SRC) travelled across Scotland, engaging directly with recovery communities, organisations, and key partners to understand the current recovery landscape. What we heard was clear: recovery is thriving in many places, but gaps remain—in connection, representation, and influence.

In response, SRC launched a national conference, in Perth on 12th June 2025, shaped by the voices of those most impacted. This wasn’t just an event—it was a direct answer to a collective call for a shared space. A space where recovery communities, researchers, organisations, stakeholders, and policy makers could come together to explore and shape the future of recovery in Scotland.

Local voices carry lived wisdom. National platforms shape systems. When these perspectives meet, we move from parallel conversations to collective action. Trust grows when people see their experiences reflected in national dialogue—and when action follows.

Recovery is both personal and political. It happens in communities, but systems shape it. That’s why SRC created a space not for silos, but for solidarity. A space to listen, learn, and lead—together.
