Recovery doesn’t happen in one place. It happens in community halls, in LEROs, in peer support groups, in the quiet, ongoing work that recovery communities across Scotland do every single day, not just in September.
Recovery Month is the moment all of that becomes visible at once. This year, we wanted to make that visibility easier to see, and easier to join, so we’ve built a shared identity anyone can use.
The hashtag
#InspiringHopeTogether is Recovery Month 2026’s campaign hashtag, drawn straight from this year’s tagline, Building Recovery, Inspiring Hope Together. Whenever you post about Recovery Month, an event, a story, a photo from your group, adding this hashtag links your post into everyone else’s doing the same thing. One scroll through the hashtag should show the full breadth of what recovery looks like across Scotland this September.
The badge
Alongside the hashtag, we’ve built a Recovery Month Scotland badge, a small graphic anyone can drop into their own posts, stories, or social media bio throughout September. It doesn’t replace your own branding, it sits alongside it, a quiet signal that says: this is part of something bigger.
Why this matters
None of SRC’s work happens alone. Every LERO, every recovery community, every peer support group is already doing the work that Recovery Month exists to celebrate. A shared hashtag and badge don’t create that unity, they just make it visible, to each other, and to everyone who isn’t in the room yet.
How to use it
The full-size badge is available to download below, alongside the one-page toolkit with ready-made captions if you’d like them.
Add #InspiringHopeTogether to any Recovery Month post throughout September. Tag @scottishrecoveryconsortium if you’d like a chance of being shared on our own channels.
That’s it. However you’re already marking Recovery Month, this just makes it part of the wider picture.
